In Fall 2018 the new academic program for the future IT leaders in business is going to be started.
Today, on December 8, the ceremonial meeting of KIMEP University President Dr. Chan Young Bang, Mr. Nurali Aliyev, faculty of Bang College of Business and KIMEP University students took place in KIMEP University. It was dedicated to officially announcing the new “Nurali Aliyev Bachelor of Information Systems in Business” Program in KIMEP University.
Mr. Nurali Aliyev – a prominent Kazakhstani businessman, philanthropist and founder of ZHANARTAU Charity Foundation possesses deep knowledge and the vast experience in the sphere of IT development in Kazakhstan and abroad. Mr. Aliyev highlights the importance of IT education for the future success of the country and for developing its competitive advantage at the global arena. Jointly with Bang College of Business being the leading business school in the country, Mr. Nurali Aliyev and Dr. Bang are aimed at creating a prestigious academic program complying with the international standards in education and with requirements in training the highly qualified professionals in the sphere of informational technologies for business.
Launching this program once again highlights the commitment of KIMEP University to the cause of delivering the best education to its students, corresponding to the high demands of the modern labor market. Employment level of KIMEP University graduates annually reaches about 95% within the first six months after graduating.
In his welcoming speech Dr. Bang said: “KIMEP University must play a leading role in the development of credible information technology programs in Kazakhstan. With the help of Mr. Aliyev and the ZHANARTU Charity Foundation, we are assured that we will be able to introduce this program along with an international information technology conference with renowned experts from around the world. Our aim is develop this program and to produce viable research in order to disseminate information about the use of information technology to promote and optimize productivity throughout the business sphere. We offer our profound gratitude to Mr. Aliyev and ZHANARTU Charity Foundation for their commitment to the well-being of our students and the advancement of information technology in Kazakhstan, and we are immensely appreciative for this cooperation between our esteemed institutions”.
The “Nurali Aliyev Bachelor of Information Systems in Business” program will offer such disciplines as Data Base and Supply Chain Management, Programming, Statistics, E-business, Cloud Technologies and many other relevant courses.
The event was marked by the ceremony of signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between KIMEP University and “ZHANARTU” Charity Fund.
In his speech the founder of “ZHANARTU” Fund stressed that progressive development of the country can be achieved only through the synergy of traditional educational processes and modern digital technologies, so the new bachelor program will create a sound and prosperous environment for IT development in Kazakhstan.
In his speech the Kazakhstani philanthropist talked about the prevalence of three main directions in IT industry: artificial intelligence, immersive technologies and digital platforms. As it turns out, more than 20 billion different devices are currently connected to the global network, starting with toasters and ending with severs, and this number will grow to 50 billion by 2020.
Finally, he announced his readiness to allocate grants for talented students of the new IT program within the framework of his Charity Fund “ZHANARTU”.
“ZHANARTU” Charity Fund was created by Mr. Nurali Aliyev in 2016 with the purpose of raising the new IT generation and developing the IT skills among Kazakhstani youth.
