Nurali Aliyev is a founder and shareholder of Capital Holding JSC. He is also a shareholder at Transtelecom JSC, one of the largest communications providers in Kazakhstan, specializing in the providing of a wide range of telecommunications services. He is a member of the Board of Trustees in the “Ana yui” public fund. Maecenas of the “Mother’s Home” charity project, within the framework of which financed “Mother’s Homes” in the cities of Almaty, Uralsk and Karaganda. Founder of the «Snow Leopard Foundation» private international fund.
Previously, Nurali Aliyev served as the Managing Director of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Nurbank JSC, President of the Sugar Center, JSC, President of Transtelecom JSC and Deputy Mayor of Astana.
One of the foundation’s first projects, which was fully supported by Nurali Aliyev, was the “Technovation Challenge”, an international IT programming competition for girls aged 10 to 18. For three years in a row, the foundation has been the general partner and sponsor of the “Technovation Kazakhstan” competition across the country. For the first time in the history of Kazakhstan, a domestic team of school girls won the first grand prize at the global finals in San Francisco for developing their mobile application.
Moreover, during the work of ZHANARTU Foundation Mr. Aliyev initiated the creation of a unique undergraduate degree program “Information Systems in Business” (BISB) at the leading business school in Kazakhstan – Bang College of Business at KIMEP University. With subjects like database management, supply chain management, programming, statistics, e-business and cloud computing, the programme aims to train highly qualified professionals in information technology for business.
The founder also did not stand aside during the global pandemic, donating humanitarian aid to Kazakhstani hospitals and COVID hospitals in the form of medical equipment and medical masks. In the summer of 2020, at the height of the fight against the coronavirus infection, ZHANARTU Charity Foundation, together with partners and friends of Nurali Aliyev, organised the delivery of humanitarian aid from China. The Foundation donated 300 oxygen concentrators 7F-10 and 26 Positive Airway Pressure Units YH-830 (Bi-level) with Independent Humidifier with LCD screen to medical institutions of Kazakhstan.
Nurali Aliyev was born on January,1, 1985. Following his studies at Pepperdine University in California and at the International University in Austria, Nurali Aliyev graduated from Abai Kazakh National University with a Bachelor of Economics and Finance. Also, he attended the McCOMBS School of Business, University of Texas, and achieved an Executive Master of Business Administration from IMADEC University in Vienna, Austria.
He holds an Honorary degree “For contribution to the development of information systems and active leadership position in the Republic of Kazakhstan” of KIMEP University. Also he graduated from Stanford University, Graduate School of Business Alumni, Stanford Executive Program.
