The “/flash” kazakh team won in the International IT-contest by developing a “QamCare” mobile application by their own.
Today, in August 11, it became known that the mobile application of Kazakhstan participants in the International IT Competition “Technovation challenge” was recognized as the best one among all finalists in San Francisco. The team of Almaty schoolgirls «/flash» won the grand prize of $ 15,000.
Almaty high school students Azhar Sultansikh, Diana Zhanakbayeva, Diyara Beisenbekova, Aruzhan Koshkarova presented their “QamCare” mobile application to the competent jury in Silicon Valley. “QamCare” allows to monitor movement of its user and in case of emergency send a message with detailed information on their location in a matter of seconds.
A unique feature of this mobile application is an additional SOS button, developed by our girls from various microchips. The button allows to send SOS message without use of a mobile phone, in case of loss or breakage at an emergency moment.
As “/flash” girls noted, “QamCare” comes from the Kazakh word “Qamqor”, which means – care. So the application is developed to take care of the most important people in your life.
The second “GoWaco” girl team from Kazakhstan also entered the TOP-6 final teams and received a guaranteed prize of $ 10,000.
“Technovation challenge” international contest took place in Kazakhstan with the support of Nurali Aliyev’s “ZHANARTU” charity foundation as a General partner. This year for the first time right two teams of schoolgirls from Kazakhstan were participating in the global final of this challenge for the privilege to be recognized as the best inventors and designers of mobile applications.
Let us remind that “Technovation Challenge” is an international social, gender program aimed to develop IT and business skills among girls from 10 to 18 years old. Students worldwide should develop their own mobile applications directed to solve important problems in their society.
